How do I find out why I do not get power from the key to my 1992 Ford Expl. starter solinoid?

I tried replacing Starter switch, no luck. all fuses looked good. I will try looking at the fusable links. is there a certain fuse just for starter solinoid?

Do all the other electrical items work ? Is it in park / neutral with the clutch in ? Check the clutch switch or neutral switch on an auto.
