Is the Infiniti G35 a real Skyline?

Me and my friend got in an argument about the G35 being an actual Skyline. He says it's not because it doesn't say "GT-R" or whatever and it's just nicknamed that. Also the Nissan 240SX being a Nissan Sylvia. He thinks he's right about everything

Yes the Infiniti G35/G37 is the same car sold in Japan labled a Nissan Skyline coupe. Nissan Japan decided not to prompt the Skylines name as an Infiniti G35/G37 or launch the Infiniti Brand in Japan becuase they had already established brand loyalty
