Where can I get a detailed manual for restoring a 1951 Chevrolet Pickup?

The manual that we have now are crap, and we need a more detailed manual, perferably free but if I have to download it or buy it I will. This is my grandpa's old truck that we are working on. It used to be owned by the Territory of Alaska Dept. of Transportation

are you qualified to "restore" it.

Its cheaper to take it to a body shop for the bodywork. they have the dip tank for the acid removal and all that stuff.
