How do I change brake rotors and pads in a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500?

Whenever I put on the brakes I feel the truck pulsating like the brakes are skipping places on the rotors. I know that you can turn or smooth the rotors out but would it just be smart to replace them? I bought brand new brake pads. The truck is 4x4.

You never want to just change the pads be sure to change the rotors too and you're right bec by the time you add up the rotor resurfacing costs and look compare them to the cost of new rotors the two costs can become quite close and then keep in mind
