Car Shop Owner Tired of Car Burglaries
ODESSA - Imagine dropping off you car to get it fixed and instead it gets broken in to. That's been happening at least one car repair shop in Odessa for weeks. It's not only costing customers, but businesses and they want those burglars stopped.
People leave their cars out on the street overnight to have their cars looked at. That's when the thieves take advantage and break in. Some people have even catch people sleeping in the cars.
"It seems like every week at least every week. We were driving up on Monday something has happened...broken window," Adolfo Pando said.
Pando is the owner of Odessa Muffler and Brakes on 5th and Dixie. Recently he's seen more and more people breaking into the cars.
"Burglaries, vandalism different types of things that are happening. We find people sleeping in cars. We find broken windows and theft of gas just all kinds of things," said Pando.
