what size tires do I need for a 2003 Cadillac Deville DTS?

I need new tires for my 2003 Cadillac Deville DTS. The tires that are on it now are P225/60HR16, but when I look for the tire size it is supposed to have, it says P235/55HR17. Could the wrong size tires make them wear out faster? The car only has 45,000

The wrong size will not make the tire wear out faster but can cause problems with the car itself. They will change the way the speedo and odometer read, they also change the angle of the drive shaft. running with the tires not properly inflated will cause
