Has anyone heard of 3M's clear bra protectant for cars?

Apparently 3M makes an invisible bra for cars, which is actually a film that gets painted on to prevent chips in your paint from stray rocks, bugs, and other car doors. Does anyone know if this actually works, or anything similar that might?

It sucks, I used ti work for an aftermarket auto installer place, it chips, and dings and looks like crap after awhile. Dont get buy it
