Where can i find the distributor cap on my bmw e34 520i 1988?

i have looked everywhere and i cant find it, i have brought a new one, i dont need to know what it looks like just where its positioned, where it is, i cant locate it on the car
please help?

It is directly in front of the cylinder head, driven off the front of the camshaft.

Pull the black plastic cover off and you will see it.

You will need an 8mm socket to remove it and a 3mm allen to remove the rotor.
