How often do you really need to check valve clearances on a motorcycle (Triumph Daytona 675)?
I have a 2006 Triumph Daytona 675 with 15K miles and I was wondering how critical it is to check the valve clearances? I know the desmodromic valves on Ducati's need to be checked religiously, but I am curious as to folk's experiences with other makes
Check them per schedule the first few times. If they don't change, then you don't need to check them as often. If valves get -way- out of clearance the whole engine can self-destruct. But of the bikes I've owned, some of them needed periodic adjustment
